Staunch Escalation Service is a softphone solution for you company. The purpose of this system is to reach on-call employees effortlessly and provide them with details straight from the customer.
When a voicemail is last on your phone system Staunch Escalation Service will call the highest priority employee on the lowest tier, play the voicemail and wait for confirmation. If there is no confirmation the system and will continue the call cycle through employees on that tier until the specified time is reached. When the tier time expires, the system will begin calling names on the next tier. If the service cycles through all the tiers with no confirmation, the emergency contact will be called endlessly. Finally, the service will e-mail a specified tracking e-mail with a digital copy of the voicemail and a message of who confirmed it.

We use 3CX Windows based VoIP Phone server and either Yealink or Cisco phones for all of our recent VoIP installations. A need that was recently brought to our attention was the need to have an afterhours emergency response system. Our customer needed to allow customers to leave a voicemail afterhours and then have a team of support engineers be able to get the message and acknowledge that the message was received.
We did some searching and found that most solutions out there required proprietary software and had expensive reoccurring costs associated to them.
After a some deliberation we decided to build our own emergency notification and escalation solution. We use open standards and an internet based VoIP carrier to reliably deliver voicemail messages to various teams in priority and with escalation to higher levels. We call this service the Staunch Escalation Service. There is a simple web GUI that is used to program the system to support as many team members as you want with up to 4 tiers...

As most of you know, Staunch is a proud supporter of the Relay for Life, both for personal and professional reasons. The Relay for Life organization helps many people that are struggling with Cancer right here in our community. Also, very close family members of mine have either had or have cancer. If you know someone with or has had cancer, a luminary is a great way to remember and honor them. You can purchase a luminary to support the Gainesville Relay for Life using the link below:

This is a very exciting day for me. As most people know, I am an avid Windows supporter. We’ll I realized today that my Dot Net Nuke based website has a blog module that supports Windows Live Writer. What this means is that I can work on my blog without worrying about my site timing out while I type. I also get the benefit of adding images and other content very easily. I just added the screenshot above by using a Windows+S screen clipping. ...
